TOPIC: The best little dogs in the world!

The best little dogs in the world! 2 years 11 months ago #1

are our Havana Silk Dogs. They make me laugh, they are never boring, and they are great bed buddies. They shed very little, never smell bad and are so happy to be with you. Couch potatoes, running buddies, boating buddies, companion events wizards...smart, eager to please, precious, sweet, temperaments. Did I mention gorgeous?

Never smell bad? Hah! I'll give you a call the next time my little darlings have gone up the hill and found some "remains" to roll around on! They can be your bed buddies that night.

That doesn't count. I was talking about an inherent body odor...which they don't have. What you are talking about it simply the other side of the coin from the application of 'stink-pretty' grooming sprays...
dogs, if given their druthers, would rather roll in a dead fish then smell like roses...grin.

That was my immediate thought. Kodi doesn't smell HIMSELF, but there are times... The worst was when he found a VERY dead weasle to roll in while walking in the woods. i'll tell you, we almost tied him to the bumper and drug him home.<g>. Only kidding about that part, but he did get subjected to an IMMEDIATE bath upon arriving home!

And if you try to STOP them from rolling on the dead fish, they swallow it quick to keep you from getting it first. (with the expected consequences shortly thereafter) Wanna ask me how I know this?

Ah, life with the active, outdoor Silk!<g>

What a great way to start my day... reading how other's Silk dogs roll in stinkys! Mine prefer goose poo and dead toads.
LOL
