The Havana Silk Dog Association of America

The Havana Silk Dog Association publishes its informative full-color Club magazine, the Silk Road, every four months.  It is available to all HSDAA members as a digital magazine at no extra charge. To receive print copies of the Silk Road, add $20 to your annual membership fee. Members may advertise at extremely competitive rates- deadlines and ad rates are listed below.

Current prices are:
Winter 2007 through Summer 2009 -- $17 each (plus postage)
Current Issue -- $12 each (plus postage) 
All Other Past Issues -- $6 each (plus postage)

If you'd like to show off your Silk in full color (and support the Silk Road!) but haven't a clue how to do that, just get with Serelda - you provide a high-resolution photo and she'll take care of everything else! You can place an ad or Silk Spot (see description below.)

• March 1st (Spring/Summer Issue)
• July. 1st (Summer/Fall Issue)
• Oct. 1st (Winter/Holiday Issue)

Advertising Prices:

• Front Cover -color:  only $160
• Back Cover - color: only  $140 
  (There are special photo requirements for the covers - for more info, check with Serelda)
• Full page color ad or Silk Spot: $105
• Half page color ad or Silk Spot: $65
• Quarter page color ad or Silk Spot: $40

 We are now offering a discounted annual ad rate for the Silk Road!

• Full page ad - $275 per year (a savings of $40 from the current rate of $105 per issue)
• Half page ad - $175 per year (a savings of $20 from the current rate of $65 per issue
• Quarter page ad - $105 per year (a savings of $15 from the current rate of $40 per issue)

You can choose to use the same ad for all three issues or submit a different ad for one or every issue. Help support our beautiful breed magazine by committing to an anuual ad in the Silk Road.

Silk Spot:

The Silk Spot is a special fund set aside for the specific purpose of supporting the beautiful Silk Road HSD journal.  When you reserve a Silk Spot you not only get the opportunity to show off that beautiful smile of your favorite Silk dog, you also get the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to support the ongoing information and advancement of the Havana Silk Dog breed as a whole.  As a breed this is a very important part of our mission, and a part that breeders and companion enthusiasts can all take an active part in.  By supporting the Silk Road you are helping to make the Havana Silk Dog information available not only to the HSD membership, but also to judges, dog fanciers, and the general public at large.  What a beautiful way to advertise our lovely breed.
