The really GREAT Auction!
The Auction was held Saturday Nov 1, 2008 following the banquet.   Silk Dogs now have their own 501(c)3 organization, CARES (Connect And Resource Everything SilkDog.) The auction was held under CARES' auspices so, whatever was bid that exceeded the value of the item WILL be tax deductible! How cool is that!

Below are a few of the items that were donated...thanks to the incredible generosity of donors and buyers, we were overwhelmed with great items and the auction raised over $4600 to benefit the Havana Silk Dogs.

13.5" x 30.5" Double Mat with artwork. You can substitute your own artwork if you wish.Donated by Doc. Value $100

16.5" x 20" Original Oil, professionally custom framed
This original oil portrait of a precious Silk Dog in the garden by renowned portrait artist Mary Ellen Mcfadden is valued at $400. Just wait til you see it in 'person'...it is gorgeous!

Painted with love and donated by the artist who owns two adorable Silk Dogs.

Our very own Jolly Tars!
The Jolly Tar Sailors
Jolly Tar Sailors

Wee Forest FolkŪ
is a small family business which delights in producing a line of miniatures -- most of which are mice.

Annette Petersen crafted her first little critter over 30 years ago. Since then, her children have learned the ways of the mice and have created their own! Each piece is a casting of an original sculpted by either Annette, Willy and Donna.

Annette's first mice were made of bread dough, which didn't last very long (nibbled by the real thing, of course!). Now, we have much more sophisticated methods of molding which add strength and durability to every piece.

Meticulous painting brings each one of the sculptures to life. Our talented artists have been carefully selected for their delicate hand skills. Enormous amounts of time and patience are invested in producing our line. Everyone involved takes personal pride in assuring the quality of each piece as it progresses through the many steps along the way to completion. Wee Forest FolkŪ are made entirely in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

The Wee Forest Folk are coveted by collectors Worldwide.  On the secondary market the values range from retail to $10,000.00 per mouse.  They are always prominently featured on Ebay.  The WFF collectors club can be found at http://weeforestfolkclub.org/ for more information.

The Jolly Tar Sailors will be personalized for OUR National and auctioned in 2 sets of 3.  Retail value  $270/set of three.
Donated by The Lebows.  There will be a reserve on these sets. Minimum bid is $150.
